With a comprehensive range of general, cosmetic, orthodontic, and preventive care dentistry, our goal is to be the only Highlands Ranch dentist for kids, adults, and entire families.

What do we want you to know about Twiss Dental? Dentistry improves lives, and that’s why we love it. So whether you have a chipped tooth, want a whiter smile, need a checkup, or are ready for a total smile makeover, we want you here with us.

Dr. Twiss was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After attending Brigham Young University, he completed his training at Temple University’s School of Dentistry in 2005. Beyond that, Dr. Twiss has continued to learn the latest advancements that dentistry has to offer. For example, he received his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, spending over 150 hours in training with world-renowned implant pioneer Dr. Carl Misch. In addition to dental implants, Dr. Twiss has extensive training in orthodontics, Invisalign®, laser gum surgery, and CEREC® one-visit porcelain crown technology.

Aside from his passion about Twiss Dental, Dr. Twiss is passionate about helping others. Since 2005, Dr. Twiss has spent a week every year providing dental care to underserved populations in Jérémie, Haiti. In his spare time, he actively serves in his church and coaches competitive soccer for 9 and 10-year-old boys. A current resident of Highlands Ranch, Dr. Twiss is married with five children and loves being involved with them as they grow up. This includes plenty of time outdoors enjoying the beautiful Colorado landscape.

Dr. Mitch Rush was raised here in Highlands Ranch, and like Dr. Twiss, he attended Brigham Young University before dental school. He finished his dental training at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2024. He is happy to join Twiss Dental as an Associate Dentist, where his commitment to his patients shows in his continuing efforts to learn the latest techniques and technologies. He does it all to ensure the best possible outcomes that fill people with joy.

Aside from dentistry, Dr. Rush has a deep love for technology, medicine, and art. It was this unique blend–combined with his meticulous nature–that led him to dentistry. He loves blending his professional dedication with his artistic passion to craft the beautiful, confident smiles every patient deserves.

In fact, upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Rush received a certificate from the Society of Color and Appearance in Dentistry for being the student in his class with the most talent in cosmetic dentistry. Past experiences with patients have taught him that quality restorations actually change lives.

In his time away from the office, Dr. Rush loves to hike and bike with his wife, son, and their big fluffy great pyrenees dog. He also loves to work out, travel, and paint, especially landscapes. He is overjoyed to be back home among family and the mountain views of Highlands Ranch.
